Which FF really got you into the series? For me it was FF8.

Final Fantasy VII. It was the first Final Fantasy I played, due to the fact that it was the first released in the UK. I was completely immersed by the game, and forgot for a moment about trivial things like, I dunno, eating, sleeping, breathing. A big thumbs up to the game that blew away the stigma of RPGs being a lame genre, and exposing it to the main market.

FF2 for SNES is what started at all for me. After I played it once, I loved em all.

ff7 I got it for 12 bucks used and really liked it. I played Final Fantasy Legend II on Gameboy a long time ago and didn't like it much. I also played and completed Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and was just kinda like..ok I beat it now what? But after I played ff7 before I got off of the first disc I loved it.

For me, it was FFVI. I watched a friend play it and I also wanted to play. When I played the game I was so addicted that I played at least 2 hours a day until I beat it.

FFVII because it was the first RPG i played and i loved it

The only reason i got it was because resident evil 3 was too short so i took it back to the shop using the 10 day returns thing and was looking for FF8 cos i wanted a game that would last me a while i couldnt find 8 so i got 7 ahhhhh what a happy ending

FF9 for me. A friend adviced me, and I thought it was a good reason for finally buying a PSOne

Final Fantasy 7. I know this is what almost everyone else says, but yeah, first one I heard of and dismissed it as a stupid game because it was so overly popular (ok I shouldnt have done that, but I hate it when a game gets hyped up so much that when you do get it you cant help but feel disapointed) and kept away from FF7 (plus I couldnt afford it full price and it was then too popular to be second hand anywhere for long), despite my friends constant persistance that FF7 was a great game.

Finally someone actually brought it over to my house because they were having problems with chocobos and needed my help (still think they could have done it themselves if they werent so lazy) and since they offered to lend the game to me for a few weeks (for free) and since I was adicted to chocobo racing at that time (due to them bringing it over and suggesting we play FF7) I agreed and became very upset when FF7 had to go back and eventually went and bought the game (and discovering that it was oh so much more than chocobo racing) and I ended up absolutly loving it and having to be pryed away from the playstation with a crowbar when ever anyone wanted to use the TV, eventually I fixed that problem by attaching my playstation to a computer monitor that, while black and white, and occasionally grainy colour, meant I could continue playing FF7 in a reasonably uninterupted way and did so every chance I got. Indeed a life absorbing game :D and the one that pulled me into the whole series.
