CUBA/GOLDEN EAGLE (2 unreleased scores by John Scott) (lossless/flac)

Very little seems to be known about these 2 scores by John Scott. There's a message posted at Film Score Monthly's website from a fan who contacted Scott himself for info. Scott apparently wrote back to say that the score for Cuba was recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic and that he was particularly fond of the music. He hinted his JOS label might release the score commercially, but that was in 2008 and it hasn't happened yet!

Cuba could be one of those TV episodes filmed as part of Jacques Cousteau's "Rediscovery of the World" series. Cousteau did travel to Cuba in 1985, and an episode called "Cuba: Waters of Destiny" was broadcast a year later. Without being able to view that program, I can't tell you if this is the music for it or not.

Golden Eagle was a special commission from the British Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Since they apparently had a low budget, Scott's work for this documentary is totally synth.

Anyone with additional info is encouraged to contribute!

17 untitled tracks for Cuba, with full orchestra in typical Scott mode.
12 untitled tracks for Golden Eagle, with synth substituting for orchestra.
29 tracks totaling about 42 minutes.
Good stereo sound with no dialog or sfx. Not a DVD-rip.
Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.
The artwork that came with the disc looks like it was put together by someone who only had access to old postcards, scotch tape, and a xerox machine. What's shown below is newer and has basic track info added.

Just been listening to "Cuba" and it's a delight; so much so I'm willing to forgive the inclusion of "Golden Eagle". Thanks for uploading this.

Yeah, I'm not fond of synth scores either, but Golden Eagle was included on the actual disc (which I got from Belgium!) so I left it there.

CUBA is the score for the 1986 Cousteau episode CUBA: WATERS OF DESTINY (from Cousteau's Rediscovery of the World).

You can find this episode on youtube:

GOLDEN EAGLE must be the score from the 1984 nature tv documentary WHERE EAGLES FLY, which is the only entry in John Scott's back catalogue that prominently features eagles and the synth sound fits the bill.
