The ending sucked so much ass! Fucking Shuyin! I wanted to see Tidus again, not Shuyin!!!! Because if Tidus could come back, so could Auron:D

Also, wtf is with only having three characters?!?!?!?

Now I'm not saying it was a bad game (oh no no no) it was very good (but definately one of the weaker instalments) but it was really disappointing. Albeit a very entertaining disappointment

EDIT: Ooh ooh ooh, another thing. Yuna is such a boring character. Also, Rikku and Brother are so fucking annoying. Despite how cool Paine is, she's so fucking one-dimensional

The ending you mean is only one of several... T_T Disappointed by it? Play again and try to get one you like more. :)

I'm playing New Game+ mode to ge 100%

That's the spirit! Good luck on that, may you get the Perfect Ending and lean back with satisfaction.

Yep, I'm with Misao. If you want good results in this game, you have to do the work. It's the same with the Episodes for the individual sections, the results are really disappointing a lot of times if you don't get Episode Complete.

Okay, I'm no one for spoilers, but I got 96%, and I got the "good" ending, but can someone tell me the "perfect" ending??? My PS2 is in about 20 peices, (obviously its broken) but I can't get another one for... I don't know how long!!!! just an idea, pleeese????? :(

03-17-2004, 11:35 AM
Yeah what is the perfect ending, I got 100% and found that there's a scratch through the end bit with baralai, Nooj and Gippal, I was a bit put out with it (disk nearly became frisbee)

03-17-2004, 04:04 PM
if you get a perfect ending , you will get the see all the ending movies plus a cut scene (no FMV's here)featuring Tidus and Yuna talking in Zanarkand (i forgot which part of Zanarkand ) that is all about it i guess. If you want a full translated script of the scene , head on to gamefaqs.com

In order to get the Perfect Ending, you need to get 100% completion, either from one playthrough or from multiple playthroughs. Then, within the game that you are trying to get it, you need to also complete the requirements for a Good Ending.

You know, this topic comes up so often, that I think I'm going to create a thread with all of the requirements and pin it.

Because if Tidus could come back, so could Auron
technically ... no chance, 'cos Tidus is part of dream Zanarkand which was created by the fayths of Zanarkand .... though he's once faded away .... fayths could still recreate him .... Auron , on the other hand , is a real human, despite the fact that he's been an undead for a while, Yuna eventually sent him to the farplane at the end of FFX , and since Auron wasn't created by fayth -> no way he could come back(unless you come to the farplane to see him) ....

as for the perfect ending ... i've seen it and it sucks .... it wasn't an FMV but it was like an automatic scene from the gameplay(terrible graphics compared to FMV of course) .... replayed the whole game just for that tiny little scene really disappointed me .... can't even remember what's about .... all i can remember is that Yuna kicked(pushed ... i meant pushed) Tidus' ass in the end and he fell over into a little pool of water .... and oh, the conversation was taken place on the small hill where Tidus went up and looked over Zanarkand at the beginning of FFX ....

Yeah what is the perfect ending, I got 100% and found that there's a scratch through the end bit with baralai, Nooj and Gippal, I was a bit put out with it (disk nearly became frisbee)
coincidence or what .... my disk freezes at the exact same place ....

Yeah, I think a lot of people were disappointed that that the Perfect Ending isn't really worth playing to get 100% for (although I think there are other good reasons for getting 100%.) Specifically what happens is that Tidus says that he has a theory, that the fayth recreated him. Yuna wonders if this means he's going to disappear again and Tidus tells her that they have to cherish each other. She pushes him into the water and he says that it's not cherishing. She responds that he didn't disappear.

y'know , they ought to add some more things , just to make gamers who achieve 100% , feel rewarded for all their hardwork.A nice FMV wouldnt hurt much or maybe a gallery of some sort

Full Motion Video, I do believe.

Having not seen the end of the game "normally", I can't comment about it. But I thought the good ending was a good ending for the game in general, and for the series that is X.

I also thought only having three playable characters in your party is refreshing. Wild Arms had the same idea, and I really quite enjoyed that game if for the depth of the characters. X-2 didn't need to create that depth for Yuna and Rikku: We already knew them from X. It just needed to concentrate on Paine and the relationship between the three and the new Spira.

thank bahamut. now i dont have to worry about that anymore.

ok the perfect ending wasn't worth it. all that happens is that they are in zanarkandstanding watching the sunset or sumthin. Tidus has that theory mentioned before. Yuna wonders if that means he'll disappear(mentioned before). they should cherish each other. Yuna asks if he heard that from the fayth. Tidus say no, he just liked it. Yuna pushes him into the water and then Tidus yells at her for not cherishing him. Yuna says" You didnt vanish!" yeah ok no quotes from the game but yeah you get the idea. Its not worth it. I didnt do it for the ending though. I always 100% all the FF's if i can.

Man Bahamut and TidusLives think deep! I wouldnt even have thought about that deepness stuff about the characters. And yes FMV does stand for Full Motion Video... I think

I downloaded the cut scene off kazaa and it only shows yuna and tidus smooching in zanakand, y'know on ff10 where that fire was, well there, its a boring cut-scene.

04-13-2004, 06:12 AM
that should of been the normal ending the others were alot better

The Real ending can be obtained by completing 100% in the game, meaning you have to obtain every single dressphere, complete each quest as well as sidequest and beat the final boss.
Also about Tidus and Auron. Tidus is a product of the dreams of the fayth. At the end of FFX, once sin was defeated, the fayth was stoped dreaming because they have been dreaming far to long. This results in Tidus not exactly dying, but more like stop existing. In the true ending of FFX-2, after yuna defeats Shuyin and Vegnagun and brings peace back to spira, the fayth from FFX rewards her by "Dreaming" Tidus back into reality.

Note about Auron:

As cool and badass as he is, he is truly dead and has been dead since the end of Braska's journey in FFX. He was killed during a confrontation with lady yunalesca, but was bound to the world (being unsent) because of the promise he made to Jecht to take care of Tidus in the dream Zanarkand (The recreation of Zanarkand by the fayth after the Zanarkand-Bevelle war).

04-17-2004, 05:06 AM
Please do not confuse people about the requirements for the Perfect Ending anymore than they already are. You do not have to obtain every dressphere to get the Perfect Ending. You do not have to comlpete every sidequest to get the Perfect Ending.

Edit: In fact, I just saw you say in another thread that you haven't even beaten the game. So don't tell people phony requirements for something that you haven't even done yourself.

04-18-2004, 04:03 PM
Agent0042 is right. so dont bother arguing. and whats with the note about auron? doesnt everyone know that already?

04-18-2004, 06:18 PM
what makes you think the fayth cant dream up auron if they can dream up tidus they should be able to dream up auron

04-19-2004, 02:47 PM
dude. Auron is a real person... Tidus is just a dream. Tidus can be dreamt back because they took what they dreamed him with and put it back together somehow.... Auron could be dreamt back with the same look and physical characteristics, but it wouldnt have same traits and things. cuz he is a real person. I think thats it. I dont really get it myself.

04-21-2004, 02:58 PM
but if they can dream back tidus with the same memorys as befor they should be able to dream up auron from tidus's memorys but then i guess he still wouldnt know half the stuff he did

05-13-2004, 09:56 AM
This for for Agent0042's reply about my reply....
As tiring as it was for me, I had to see what happened to Tidus and thats what kept me from playing this stupid game. I wrote that thread about me not beating tha game a long time ago.

05-14-2004, 09:56 AM
So why are you reviving the thread then to tell me about it? At the time, you had said that you hadn't beaten the game. Not only that, but you were confusing people with false requirements and junk that they don't even have to do. What's your response to that. No wait, I don't think I want to hear it. I'm just gonna close the thread now. It's served its purpose and we have other threads talking about it.
